Tifton, GA (February 4th 2008)-  Tifton based Turner's Furniture is being honored with the Cox Family Enterprise Center's Family Owned Business of the Year. The retailer just got the news, and an awards ceremony will be held May 28.

"It's a great honor," said Fortson Turner, owner of the seven-location chain. "We are very pleased with the outstanding quality work that everyone in our company does and are even more pleased to be honored publically for that work."

Any family owned business, anywhere in Georgia, that is in at least its second generation of family ownership is eligible for the award. Once nominated, businesses are asked to answer several key questions designed to explore the concept of family in business.
