Job Description

Our sales representatives are the major driving factor behind the success of Turner's Furniture. Our representatives focus on the guest experience: breaking down guest resistance, make a friend, letting the guest know you are just there to educate them so they can make a good buying decision, etc. We are seeking team players who will be vigilant in engaging with guests in a positive, fruitful manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have strong critical thinking skills to overcome guest resistance and to overcome objections
  • Energetic, self-motivated professional
  • Competitive spirit and goal-oriented nature
  • Flexibility to work a 5-day retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to comprehend training on complex computer systems
  • Previous sales experience in a retail commission-based sales environment is a plus, but not required

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage guests in a friendly, inviting & non-business manner
  • Make our guests comfortable enough for them to share their home furnishing needs so you can bring their visions to life
  • Provide world class guest experiences by offering guests an unforgettable visit
  • Establish rapport with guests, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent listening skills
  • Using empathy to overcome objections
  • Take all training to heart and put into practice with all guests
  • Engage and stay engaged with guests while maintaining a low-pressure consultative approach
